An Integrated Approach

USDA McGovern-Dole International Food For Education and Child Nutrition Program

The USDA McGovern-Dole International Food For Education and Child Nutrition program in Cameroon, implemented by Nascent Solutions assists 400 primary schools in 8 regions of Cameroon and Malawi to improve the literacy of school-age children and increase their use of good health and dietary practices.

WEAVE Women Empowered Against Violence Everywhere

The USAID funded WEAVE program implemented in Zambia by Nascent created micro-finance and community banking groups of more than 10,000 poor and HIV impacted women, to provide loans for small business initiatives which continue to provide, loans, income avenues and a path to independence more than 12 years after inception.

Rural Clinic

Rural Clinic provided beds and essential monitoring equipment and devices to 15 Rural Clinics in Bui Division, Cameroon. Before this intervention patients in these communities often had to sleep on mattresses placed on cold floors, while nurses lacked the tools to measure baseline health indicators, such as blood pressure. This initiative was funded by the Church of the Nativity Parish in Burke Virginia and donors like you.

International Food Relief Partnership Program

The USAID-funded IFRP implemented by Nascent in Cameroon, Sierra-Leone and Liberia seeks to reduce the prevalence of malnutrition among children aged 6-36 months, and vulnerable populations such as people living with HIV by providing nutritional support and pathways to sustainable food security through agriculture.

GirlReach

GirlReach seeks to support girls, minors who are victims of gender based violence. The initiative offers material support, counseling, social reintegration, as well as educational and vocational training and solutions for girls who have been abused, become pregnant or borne children as a result of school closure during COVID-19 lockdowns or other social unrest.
