Nascent is excited to take part in CIES 2022. This 66th annual conference, in Minneapolis, Minnesota will be a virtual and in-person hybrid. “The theme, Illuminating the Power of Idea/lism arises from the intersection of two immutable realities of our time and the impact both are having on the field of comparative and international education”.
Nascent’s Eugene Da, Senior Technical Advisor for Literacy and Education will lead a panel discussion entitled, Wellbeing in School Communities in Challenging Times. He will be joined by Katherine McBride, Program Analyst for the Foreign Agriculture Service at USDA, Nascent’s Emily Maosa, Deputy Chief of Party-Malawi and Elaijah Ngum, Literacy Officer for Nascent Cameroon. Their presentation will include “Voices of Front-line Teachers, Parents, Students, and others involved in education during COVID-19 from Malawi and Cameroon.”
The session will explore the practical and cost-effective strategies Nascent deployed to ensure continuity of learning for primary school students during the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
